    5R55E Transmission Slipping??? 2002 Explorer Sport w/ 4.0 SOHC

    1998 Ford Explorer experiencing burning metallic smell which is very apparent. No leaks in coolant, power steering. Think it may be the catalytic converter. 184k miles and never replaced cat or exhaust. Any experiences with this on a 1998? Thanks, Libby

    Cooper Discoverer AT3

    After much research, I put Cooper A/T's on the 1998 X but notice that it seems really firm and tippy. Hopefully after the alignment next week, it will not feel this way. I also just put new shocks on as well. Perhaps washing it after two years rearranged the "dirt" load....haha. Taking it cross...
