    need advaice

    can i just take out the front shaft and keep the 2004 awd mountaineer just a rear wheel drive..i am having that tire hop in the rear and cant afford to replace that v coupling.. any thoughts..

    2002 mountaineer awd

    really looking for a answer .not a good car guy but have friends that will help...my daughters awd2002 mountaineer seems to be doing this "back tire hop" reading the forums, and without replacing that very expensive v coupling..can i just turn the car into a rear wheel drive and get a few years...
