I have a '96 Explorer XLT 4X4. Progressively over the past 5 or so months, I noticed harsher shifting from the transmission. Because the shifting didn't necessarily jerk or anything like that, I overlooked the issue since it wasn't severe. There wasn't even a 'check engine' light on or anything...
