I had the shop look at the head pretty closley. They were convinced it was fine since they were able to drill and tap the holes that needed it. Runs great right now and seems to be getting a 1-2 mile increase in the MPG department.

You could also just look behind the fuse box located under the driver side dash, outside "wall". Its on a sticker on the back of the box. You need a mirror and a cellphone to take a picture of the sticker.

I would check the O2 Sensor, the wire to it and the plug/connector and see if there any obvious signs of damage that could cause an electrical issue. It's free...just crawl under there and look around.

If it has one, it could also be the cooling fan clutch. My wife's trailblazer had the clutch go out. The damn thing sounded like a semi truck when that fan was spinning with the engine rpms. Not to hard to change yourself, but as typical, not a lot of room to work.

I thought Ford supposedly upgraded the design or metal used in the new replacement manifolds so warping wouldn't be that much of an issue.......
