Dang - its dropped 40 degrees today - sitting at 32 and cold...

The Mountaineer has been running great. A quick update. The stock Synchro started squealing badly, CEL code hard flashed and the Gen2 got harder and harder to start. Long turn overs to start sometimes two to three turns on the key got it running. The synchro swap went without a hitch...

Thank you. I try to get them involved as much as I can, especially in this TV/Game world we live in. It saddens me that they miss great opportunities to learn new things over a controller and screen time. I appreciate the good comments!

Morris - what did you end up doing? Looks like mine is starting to do the same and I think I got a slight whine on a lower gear shift. I checked the fluid and it does not appear low or heavily discolored. @CDW6212R - any chance you can post a link to those parts you mentioned above?

Very Nice! how wide is the front axle compared to the rear? Did you have to shorten it any?

@Mbrooks420 - I didnt realize myself until I swapped a complete Mounty headlight assembly/front end to my Explorer...I shut the hood to enjoy the moment :bounce:...then realized I needed a long screwdriver through the grill to pull the latch :oops:

I got tired just looking at the pictures - been there....done that :)

Good advice - the initial cost stinks, believe me, I would feel the same way! ... but you will have a great working AC system for years to come.

@410Fortune How/what was the process of putting the Monstaliner on? Spray or Roll on? Prep work? How did it hide existing dents? Any fading? Hows cleanup on it? Any affects on power washing on it? How much did you use for the Ranger? Im guessing a Gallon would be enough for a 4Dr Explorer?
