Well, being that the original poster was talking about the MATCO funny car that runs in NHRA I figured that was a safe assumption. Or is there another 7500 hp MATCO top fuel funny car that I am not familiar with?

New from Ford they are like $500 or more. I did find a guy that sold rebuilt ones for like 220 shipped. I am trying to find what I did with his email address though. If I can dig it up I will let you know. Do know if you had the CV driveshaft or the non-CV? My 98 AWD had a CV driveshaft.

Mine does this but it is because I currently have the front driveshaft out. The CV went bad and I haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet. I'd check first and make sure it has the front driveshaft installed. Then I'd check out the transfer case. It's definitely not supposed to do that.

Anyone been able to fix their center consol rattle? It wasn't too bad until I got my new wheels and it's a lot more obvious now. That thing is always shaking it seems.

Pull the door off on the driver's side where the jack sits. Then the look in the hole towars the front of the front of the vehicle. It's hard to see but with a flashlight you can see it. I had to bend the bracket on mine a tad in order to read all the digits. That gives you the default code...

You can run without the front driveshaft but not the half shafts. The half shafts are cheap. Check Autozone. They were like 80 bucks a piece there.

I finally got the new half shaft in. I had to remove the ring and file a little bit of it off and then comress it down. It was just too big. After I did that it poped in with a few taps of the BFM.

Ok new problem. I got the old one out but now I can't get the new one to go all the way in. The little retaining ring seems to stick out farther then on the old one. I can get the splines lined up but it won't pop past the ring. Is there a trick to this?
