I have the parts, Rotors and Pads, to do all four Wheels. But, it's only the rear pads that are totally gone. Can I simply do the rear and then replace the front when needed? By only doing the rear will this produce faster wear on the new rear rotors and pad?

My front pads are at about 20% and the rotors are good but a bit grooved. My mechanic said I could simply put new pads on and that would render everything ok. Wouldn't the grooved rotors cause the pads to wear unevenly?
