Update: after looking closely there is no way to remove the y pipe without needing to remove the manifolds to get them back in. (every thing is way to rusted) what did work was resting the front end of the tranny on the frame just before the y pipe then tilting the rear way down. (think 70+...

i don't have the wiring diagrams in front of me but you might check if the windows share a common fuse, even if its not blown it could be loose or the fuse socket could be shot. try driving over some bumps, its a great diagnostic tool for loose connections

are all (two or four) power windows affected or is it just one? also do the power lock switches (if equipped) work when the windows fail?
