Whered you get your heads? and how much did it cost you?

Well thats good i suppose, man i really didnt want to go head hunting for this thing, seems like tis really gonna cost me before its all said and done. If anyone knows where to get heads in or around Louisville, Ky, LET ME KNOW!

So if i get these checked, and only the drivers side is bad (it looked the worst when pulling them) can i get away with only buying 1 head? it feels kind of wrong to only do half of the engine when there are clearly two of everything that can be replaced.

Oh god, where is the cheapest place to get new heads? This whole time i was under the impression that the "milling" work to be done by the machine shop would thereby make the heads usable again, this was not in the budget, ugh. This truck looks so great and the transmission was just rebuilt so...

The machine shop said they will magnaflux, check the valves and do any milling involved if they are warped. Just so im sure, does a machine shop FIX cracks or just find them, once a head is cracked, am i forced to buy a new one? TIA

Ok, well i got a felpro gasket set and head bolts, and i am in the middle of tearing down the engine. I am wondering, there is a block on the back of the ac compressor where the hoses go in. Do i have to be worried about pressure still being in those lines 24hrs after the navajo was last driven...

The smoke is light grey/white, Nothing really happened before the problems, they all started in the coldest week of the year, temps were in the single digits for a few days straight and I noticed my heat started not working. Then the smoke started so i parked it for weeks until now.

I could have swore someone swapped a ranger and navajo rear axles directly. The ranger wanted a drop and the mazda wanted a lift and they swapped them in a few hours, just needed new shock mounts. Hopefully someone knows what im talking about, i will try to find the thread. EDIT: here it is...

Plenty of shops will, i told them i wanted straight pipe installed instead of cats and they said "sure 50 bucks and its good", and that was only the first shop i went to, no telling how many others will.
