I'm trying to figure-out how to bypass the "depress clutch" switch to start my '92 XLT 5 speed. I do some winter camping and would like to be able to reach over and start the engine to warm-up w/o having to depress the clutch. All help appreciated.

The fan switch knob spins 360* on my 92. The switch works fine, I can change speeds w/ a pair of needle nose pliers and the ac still comes on. The obvious question: Will a simple change of knob fix the problem? Are they still availble(other than salvage)? Is there some tricky forum solution...
