    i think its more than just the lifters. from the pictures i have seen, just about the whole valve train gets screwed up on these OHV engines. kinda sounds like a timing chain too though. hmm, not sure what to do now.

    basically i have had the rattling coming from my sport with the OHV engine since about 95k. i bought the car at 82k. i am now at 170k and its as annoying as ever. never really got worse, just kept going and going. i think its high time to replace the rockers, pushrods, and lifters. problem...
