Did you ever get any word as to where the short was near the rear bumper? I have the exact same symptoms going on right now with my '04 Ex. Blows the fuse immediately upon replacing and turning the key on.

That is a Beautiful 94' Limited! What size / kind of lift did you install and what size are those tires? That is the same kind of setup I would like put on my 93' XLT.
I have a 93' Explorer with that same seat combo. The arm rest is the same way and won't stay closed (have a string around it also). I am looking to get power bucket seats to replace the fronts and will then get a center console.
