hey guys im replacing the motor in my new 1990 ranger 2.9 with the 5 speed. how many bellhousing bolts are there and what size bolts do i need? thanks

this is a shot in the dark but i dont think you should need anything special...just whatever wiring connector it calls for

well. it wasnt crossthreaded. just two gaskets. i was in such a hurry i made such an idiot mistake. after hours of pounding and prying i finally got that sob fram off. i filled it back up, and once it build pressure again it was good as new. well for now anyways.

i have had finals this week....i will be going out later to try

what caused your drop in pressure? loss of oil? or something else?

yea this is my second OHV. no complaints. this would be a true test though to see whats gonna happen when i start it tomorrow.

i hope not...i was aware of everything i did even when i was applying alot of muscle. but i will give it more look tomorrow. hard to do with just a flashlight. i just hope i dont have to add rod bearings to my christmas list..

no it was clean...the filter was good an snug. but it was like it was offset. i think i would have realized anything extreme when installing it but idk

has anyone else had this problem? bad seal at the filter?

well i changed my oil today before leaving to go back to school. (last week before christmas btw) everything went fine except the previous owner had it serivced at a shop. so i almost had to use impact wrench to get drain plug an filter off. everything went normal. by the time i got to school...

uhhh....a job. and for my trans to not go. i couldnt afford a rebuild now :thumbdwn:

are u still using stock brake componets?

8'' of lift an 35's on ifs? id start there. how did u lift it? spindles then TT and a bl?
