Thanks gijoecam, I figured it was something like that kinda. I did engage it again when I got back to the rig site and I drove like 15 ft then disengaged it and it worked fine so hopefully it was a fluke!

Last winter I worked in Labarge Wyoming close to a town called "Big Piney" which has a sign outside town talking about how it is the coldest town in Wyoming or something or other. You could try using a car stethoscope. Or if you dont have one just get a metal rod and place it on both the ac and the power steering pump if you can access it. Just be careful not to get it caught up in the belt!!! If you have bad bearings or whatever then you should hear some nasty grinding.
