    Aftermarket Fender Flares

I found these fender flares on eBay and ordered a set of 4 for $70. They’re polished steel and seem to be well made. They’re attached with screws and even have a rubber gasket. I’ll be painting them black and installing them this weekend and will post photos when I’m done. They don’t seem to...

    Second Gen Cabin Air Filter

I’ve been wondering how feasible it would be to install a cabin air filter in a second gen. I see that the door goes up and closes off the highlighted area when Max AC is selected, so that must mean that’s where outside air is pulled in. I don’t have ac diagrams and have never taken apart...

My 93 Explorer apparently has no idler pulley?

I was replacing the fan clutch on my Explorer and decided to go ahead and replace the serpentine belt. Servo O-Ring Mod A Permanent Fix For 5R55?

I have a 2004 Eddie Bauer 2WD Explorer with a 4.6L V8. It has 206k on the clock. It has been a joy to drive and I've taken it on a lot of long, long road trips. I've also been pretty careful on the maintenance. There is one problem that is common with this vehicle, that I was afraid I would...

    Battery cable size?

Hi, does anyone know what the battery cable size is on second gens? I'm trying to add compression lugs and I see they fit 2/0 gauge cable. I've looked everywhere but can't find this info. Thanks for any help. For anyone who has this question in the future. I went ahead and purchased the 2/0...

    Alt. repair/replace.

Four t-20 torx head screws secure the voltage regulator to the back of the regulator. It is possible to remove the regulator and brushes without removing the alt. But it is a pain and the chance of dropping a part into the housing is great.
