2000 Explorer ride

I have inherited my daughter's (yes, a hand me up) 2000 Explorer XLS with about 100k miles. Frankly, from the day it rolled off the line, it rode rough. I was wondering if anyone has been successful in IMPROVING the ride with high end after market shocks. Thanks much.

If nobody else has any good answers for you maybe you could upgrade to some Mountaineer shocks and a set of nice riding tires.

i lowererd my 2000 ex limited a little not slammed or anything and bought plain old monroe shocks from aap and it rides really good. surprised me. just a cheap quick fix. if the torsion bars are to high in front it will ride rough also
