2010 Explorer XLT - Whispering/Sucking noise from A/C when accelerating

Well, my first question thread was a bit of a disaster, but hopefully the good people of this forum will help diagnose my next Explorer issue.

I am noticing a quiet whisper/sipping/sucking noise coming from what appears to be the A/C. It occurs only when I accelerate, and does not continue while moving. It does not happen when I brake, nor while idling. I note that I am able to extend the length of the sound by accelerating *very* gently.

I tried all of the temperature control settings, and no change in setting appears to make a difference in the character of the noise, although my hearing admittedly isn't what it once was.

I tried to search for the terms "air conditioner" "noise" and "acceleration" in the forum and came up with no hits.

Does this issue seem familiar to anyone?

There is an AC valve or something, someone will chime in.

It costs few bucks if that's the issue.

I'm happy to report that replacing the A/C Check Valve did resolve the hissing noise I was observing.
