Its a nice looking SUV, but its lost its "explorerness". I do like the terrain system, but looking at those photos, it looks more like a street SUV, not something that'd I'd expect to see off the road. Doesn't appear to have a lot of ground clearance, but still has a decent amount. In all its a nice SUV, but its just not like all the other explorers, maybe I'll change my mind when I see it in person.

I'm reserving judgment till I see an actual 2011 Ex AND drive it. My 05 EB isn't exactly an offroad monster and it's my most prized posession...

Kinda the same here with my 98, its not an off-road monster too. But my explorer isn't my most prized possesion, but I love the car. With the 2011, I'm probably not going to make a change to it. Unless its really something I must have. I'm going more for Trucks, than SUVs. But I'm not doing too much judging, except what I've already done, untill I take a look at the 2011 explorer.

Thanks for the photos. IMHO, it looks most like an updated Taurus X, crossed with an Edge, and a dash of Flex. I guess wasn't too far wrong when I predicted that the then-new Flex would be the Explorer's replacement back in '07. It probably will sell just fine gauged on it's new crossover status, but don't go too far off-road with it. Who will be the first to take on the Rubicon with one of these?

I saw the facebook page and had to like it to see it. Considering some of the ways it could have went, I don't think this was too bad. My fiance is looking for an SUV/crossover and while I do like what I see so far, it will likely be way out of our price range. I also want to see the reliability of the Eco boost engines.
