Since the other guy that posted the thread about knobby tires had both of his threads locked :)scratch:), I'm reposting it because I also wanted to see 3rd gens on M/Ts.

Please post a picture of your rig followed by the brand of M/Ts!

Mac your rig still kicks ass i cant go any higher were i live and 35 just make it over limit cops dont like it as is i am 1/4 inch lower then limit lol.

Please reply

how much lift do you have on the mountaineer to be able to run 35/12.50

I think I'm going to try to fit a 285/65R17 MT's on my bone stock 05. I know everyone says that only a 265/70 will fit but I think I can go wider on a stock wheel and just use a wheel spacers to push them out to make room.

A nice tire for a good price in the MTs is a Mud Claw. I ran them on my Bronco and really liked them. I'll be looking for a set of them for the explorer for sure.

33x12.5R15 on stock 7" wheel.

i know you have a mercury mountaineer but i have an 05 ford explorer which as i'm sure you are aware it is very similar
i was wondering how and what you used to lift it high enough to fit those 35's

I believe its 3" body lift with 2-3" strut spacer lift. I am running 3" body and 2.25" spacers in the front and am fitting 35x12.5x17. Best way is to get offset rims as well with at least -12mm offset.

Not in over a year and a half, knock on wood. Some people have replaced there's plenty of times. But with the traxda lift I think it's small enough to where you're fine. And I've hucked the **** out of my truck without blowing any of those. Managed to blow up the rear diff though

Yes that is the right one

You wouldnt happen to have a link to where i can find a body lift for my 2002 limited everyone i find is for the sport trac and also do you know if they make a spindle lift for the 2wd with the one peice hub or would i have to convert it over thanks

Use pa 883 body lift for a Ranger. Everything is the same but you have to modify the front bumper bracket
