^You need some upper control arms. Badly.

Hidden 20" LED light bar
Got a new light bar... installed.
Replaced all the interior lights with LED bulbs too, WAY brighter!
Hidden 20" LED light bar
Lets try this again...
Also swapped the interior with all LEDs.
How's the light output on that bar being in the grill like that?
Decided to push the limits on the polar bear this weekend.
Explorer0693 - It's actually really good still. I get a lot more light up than I do down but the yellow fogs really light up in front of the truck. The cross member is almost perfectly lined up between the rows of LEDs.
Ahh, cool! Great name for your Explorer, too!
I like the recessed LED light bar
If you don't mind me asking why did you drop the bottom bumper just to put it on I just took my grille off and put mine on
IRONman Explorer for sale in PA!!
Spotted me a Froader! Nice chatting super briefly lol.
Good to meet you, too!
We did some light off roading yesterday for my truck's birthday (sad I know lol) 10/30/2005. I can't believe she's 10 years old now. She's been so much fun! Here's a short vid.
(Rear bumper is getting refished btw)
And as of this evening... running 35's
Nice! That thing is so sick. Always good to see a 4th gen off road video (since there are so few). I actually like to remember my Explorer's anniversary from when I got it (that sounds weird...haha). I got it on October 1st, 2009 (I need to go see when it was made) so it's been a little over 6 years now. I can't believe how the time goes by. I still love it even though I'm thinking of getting something different now.
Lack of bumper looks fine by me.
Does anybody know what size of tire and rim pwradict is running on his explorer? Seriously want that look on mine. Thanks for any info
Total guess, but based on what's available, I'll say 305/45/22
Thanks, wider than I think I can fit without lift tho.
For sure. Those measure out to around 33x11.
Yeah, I'm thinking 265/50r20 nitto Terra grappler g2s, on 20x9 rims, anybody have experience running that size on stock suspension?, or with Terra grapplers in general?
Same diameter as own tire, 1.5" wider outboard, same backspacing.
Sorry if I'm in the wrong thread, new at this. Will post pics soon, looks pretty great right now, running bfg K02s for winter.
Here's some updated pics of my 06 X
It's got a fairly new set of 265/70/r16 Cooper Discoverer ATPs, a 30" LED bar that I installed myself, new black headlight housings, and a cheap Pioneer head unit that has USB and AUX capabilities. I've also debadged the rear, and added a Flowmaster 40 series muffler. This thing sounds extra mean!!! I'm planning on adding the leveling kit and some other small goodies here and there in the near future. (Keep in mind I'm still in High School so my budget is limited )
It looks good. What size wheel spacers do you have on there, 1/2"?
As of right now they are 1.5" inch spacers, I would like a little more stance to it so upgrading to 2" ones would be a possibility. I'm also planning on buying some 16x8 steelies with 0 offset to replace the 16x7 stock rims that have a 44 offset, so that should help to where i don't need to add more spacer. I'm really itching to get the level kit before i do anything else though.
Led Light Bar MOunt Brackets
Hey... any chance you have details on the mounting brackets you used for the led bar? im looking for a pair of those.
