2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
211k + miles
Reverse worked intermittently and just began to not shift into 4th.
Rebuilt
parts from 99 Ford Ranger 5R55E, Pro King Gasket and Filter set, Superior Shift Kit, and Sonnax Valve booster kit. (Irrelevant but added a drain plug as well)
Stay off it and it goes 1-2 2-3 flare into 4 no 5 reverse works most of the time
Expressway 1 hard shift to 4 no 5 reverse disappears
Error codes:
P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio
P0733 Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio
P0735 Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio
P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off
Solenoids all ohm out within ranges
Positive the internals are good
My research and deduction leads me to believe possible valve body problems
Is it possible to test the Valve body some way while still attached to truck to determine if this is the factor?? an air test or something?
