95 xlt not getting spark or fuel

i have a 95 xlt 4x4 that is not geting any spark or any thing to the fuel pump. i think it has something to do with the anti-theft system either a relay or something. if anybody has some ideas please help u can email me that would be better thanx clint

When you turn the key to the ON position, you should hear the fuel pump prime for a second or two. If not, check the fuel pump relay and the inertia switch.

The PATS system could be the problem. If not, then your cam sensor may be shot

95 does not have PATS.

You need to check the EEC fuse and relay first.
The computer will power up both the coil pack(s) and the fuel pump.
If the EEC is not getting power then this will not happen.


How did you confirm it is getting no spark? I ask because a no fuel pump situation is pretty common on there, whereas the no spark condition is not.

the PATs system was not in use untill 1998.
