Evening everybody. I have a 98 XLT and about this time last year I did a complete A/C system replacement, including Condenser, Accumulator, Evaporator, Compressor and Blower motor. The lines were pulled and flushed and cleaned.
The work was performed by me and my buddy who is a Ford Master Mechanic. The A/C works like brand new.

My problem is I keep getting leaves blowing through the system. We live in the south and the Oak leave we have a pretty small. So again I'm having to pull the blower motor to clean out the housing to quite the noise.

Any ideas where the leaves are getting into the blower motor?

Has to be coming in via the fresh air duct. Fastening some netting in or around the area should stop it.

What you probably have, is an accumulation of leaves already. If they build up enough on the resister, you can have a fire.

All based on my '94, don't know if the system changed by '98.
