I am trying to find out what type of AC unit my 1991 Mazda Navajo. Also how do I know when to chang my spark plugs, I don't seem to have as much pick up as I used to.

Tammysue, for under $10.00 you can get a top of the line set of spark plugs. I change mine every year because the cost isn't that much. You could probably clean plugs and regap them each year, then replace them every other year. As for your AC, there should be a decal sticker somewhere on the condenser unit or, on the top of the framework under the hood. If not, get a repair manual from the parts store or the local library. Chances are, your AC system requires R-12 freon. The R-134A systems appeared around 1994-1995 time period. Hope this helps.
