Very impressive. I like it. I noticed at underdogs website that they will offer all three pulleys in a set soon - and it says it'll maintain the factory serpentine belt. Did you have to go to a samller belt?

Yes, a smaller belt was required and is detailed in the write up.

I can understand that, do you think you have done more mods/upgrades that were successful or vice versa?

Far more mods were successful than not. This is due in a large part because I do my homework prior to a project.

Say Al, do you recall the clearance that you needed and ended up with for the fan? I measured about 4" roughly needed for my 302, I see that the 180 calls itself 4"&3/16" thick. Is there plenty of clearance with the 180? I've been looking at the Taurus fan, which can be had for $170 new, but it starts as a 5.5" fan. If the cutting needed is too much trouble, the extra cost for the thinner 180 is better.

I'll try the DC controller for mine, I don't need a cool down period. Thanks for any help,

Don, just went out to look. It appear that there is a little less than 1 inch clearance.

That actually sounds promising then for the Taurus fan. Supposedly one inch can be trimmed easily. I'll look at mine one more time, to see if the motor might be offset slightly to help. If it doesen't look easily done, I'll go after the 180. Thanks,
