I give you a compliment on the switches too and this is what I get.
You guys should go on Springer and duke it out
I love the switches but I just don't want to copy them, I don't want to take your idea or anything
Dude just because I live in Idaho doesn't mean I'm related to everyone else around here like Derrick is . I'm just a tempory resident.
Boy I swear to god.....yours is coming.
I'm not from Castleford or Buhl, I'm not related to everyone. Just alot of people! Get it straight!!!
Oh sorry Kent.....thanks. It took me some time to get it like that.
Man don't worry about copying me. Look at Kent.....he does it and nobody makes fun of him.....well at least to his face anyways.
Oh and yeah you've been here over a year.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................YOUR STUCK!!!!!!!
Dude, I want to get together for a wheeling trip with you guys. You guys just crack me up
MOAB, spring 2004?
Hvac, that'd be awesome. I haven't wheeled with many Explorers so this would be fun. Moab for sure. I just received word hours ago I was accepted for the NCO Acadamy and am leaving soon so next spring is way open!
Who you calling boy? Youngin!
Copy who? So you've got front fiber and a bunch of ideas. I've already got the SAS, fiber front and rear, and posted MY color first! So there.
And I posted all this lovely information in one post so someone cannot accuse me of senseless posts to keep my numbers up.
HA! Actually they screwed up my orders comming here so I'm only obligated to this base for two years and one is already gone.
Trust me mister.....your stuck. Thats Idaho.....its like a vacum. I've seen it a million times.
You may have posted before I did.....you may get it done before I do......but everyone knew what I wanted to do. SO THERE!!!
Moab 04'.....mmm I don't know. I'm selling my vacation to get me some axles and I don't get more vacation until Aug. 04'. How about Moab 04' in the fall???
Alright guys how about any time you get ready to go do some wheeling in Moab you tell me at least 2 days in advance and I'll go. Summer, spring, fall, or winter
BTW: I got my switches figured out and half way mounted if anyone cares any more
Aww hvac, I still care about your switches. Any pics?
OK smart guy Here is the pic.
I used 24 gauge stainless steel and am going to cover it with some stick on carbon fiber that I have left over from another project. I am also going to add a cover so my wife doesn't spill coffee on it
That looks good. Great idea.
That does man.....awesome job!!!
So what about you Kent??? Moab next Aug. or Sept.???
Really cool switch mount Derrick....
I was thinking this should have been in offroad accessories, but it does involve the offroad only driveline..LOL
sweet ass sweet.
hey I still havent mounted my switches and I have had my locker installed for almost a year now! they are just hanging by a wire tie.........damn.
Looks like I have a small project this weekend. Dont get me wrong its been on the list but there were many things ahead of it.
Okay so you got switches mounted, what about compressor, wiring, and air lines?
not to mention the LOCKERS!!!!!!
How much was the rear locker if you dont mind? I have found them from $599 to $680 for the 31 spline 8.8
Moab anytime next year would be fun.
Lets see if I can find the paper work on my install.
Yep, found it.
$1068 for both lockers
$100 ARB compressor
$375 front and rear 4.56 gears
$500 for labor to install.
I ran the rear air line down the inside of the frame rail. Then straight down to the axle. The front is pretty much straight down. It runs right next to my pitman arm.
Cool then we'll get something together next year for moab then.
Well the prices for the lockers are all the same, so it cost me 600.00. I have the front installed and am ready to go get an alignment. The rear is going in the first of next week I am going to wait till the weekend to mount the compressor and plumb the lines. It sucks coming home from work and then going back to work on your truck every nite. Tonight I went to that new movie UNDERWORLD, it was pretty good.
410 if you need one I can make you a mounting plate similar to mine with the carbon fiber sticker or stainless like you see in the picture.
THANKS but that wont work in my BII.....I dont have an Explorer center console. Also the wires and everything are run to where I want the switches, I also got these trick ARB switch holders, so you can put 2-3 switches together, I just need to make up the switch plate (my dremmel is broken) I will borrow a buddies dremmel this weekend.
I drive my BII daily, whats wrong with that?
We are going to slaughterhouse at 8:30 am tomorrow morning, 2 Explorer's, my BII and a Jeep ZJ
Have fun and bring back some pictures
Where did you get both ARBS for $1068?
sorry for going off topic
