05 Ford Explorer refers these as the Auxiliary power point designed for accessory use only . ( phone charger , I pod adapters )

Hope this Helps anyone who losses Power in either one of the two 12 v outlets, Like I did in my 05 Explorer.

The Rear Power aux 12V output facing rear seats is Fuse # 7 in located in the power distribution box located under the Engine hood on the Drivers Side , it is a cartridge maxi 20A (blue) large size fuse that controls the rear power outlet, it is referred to as the Power point #2, it is located on the left side of the power Distributuon box, All the numbers are listed on the cover all the small fuses are clustered in the middle of the box, See the diagram on the bottom of the distribution box cover, but you have to read it upside down.

The Front Power aux output between the Front Seats is Fuse # 9 referred to as power point #1

Power distribution box is between the battery and the steering column on the driver side of the vehicle. Lift the tab on the end pointing toward the battery up and the cover snaps right off.

      Hope this Helps

      Convenience outlet fuse replacement

Thanks Johnd555. I should have read this post before trying to be a contortionist and searching under the dash for the fuse. Much easier and faster replacing the #9 fuse under the hood!:salute:
