broken hood latch

Can I use a hood latch off any other year explorers for my 91? I also need the cable for it. They both broke. If anyone has either let me know. I can pay today.

You can go up to 94 I believe. That type is where you reach through the grill to release the hood to open it. Not the best style if you want to add fancy diamond screen for the grill. But if you want the type that you don't have to reach through the grill, you can go 95-98.

I have a 1994 and I went to the salvage yard and bought a latch and cable from a 1993 and ripped the old one out and put the new one in... it was cake and I am not mechanically inclined...
