Hello,
I'm the owner of a 98 Explorer with 96000 Miles and the transfer case(BW4405) is leaking oil between the two cases. It seems that the original gasket is RTV made and here is the problem.
I've checked if the leak is in the input shaft seal or outut shaft seal and it seem both are ok.
I would like to know if it's possible to open the transfer case to restore the gasket with a new RTV maker without removing completely the hole TC from the car.
I would apreciate your help on this.
