I have a 06 tribute 3.0 4wd.Its only got 82K miles and i am having Trans issues. It likes to slam gears often and no codes have been found in the computer.Fluid has been changed on a regular basis.
Lets say i am going 50MPH and i slow down to 20 MPH to make a turn then i apply the gas pedal quickly again and it slams into gear.It seems to have problems up shifting and down shifting from 2-3 and from 3-2. 1st gear and 4th gear are fine.
Sometimes when just cruising along at 30MPH the trans will start to act eradically then level out when i get into 3rd gear.
If you drive very easy and slowly the trans will act mostly normal.But when quick shifts are demanded it likes to slam and its worse when cold.
