Congrats Colin. Live is no longer the same. It is better
Michelle and I are very proud to introduce Wesley James Ignacio, aka "'lil froader."
Michelle's water broke at the house, Saturday afternoon (her due date) at about 4pm. We rushed to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA and were admitted. She was in labor for 22 hours before they realized he was not going to come out naturally. We called the Dr. and she came straight to the hospital and we prepared for the OR to have a c-section. Twenty minutes later, we heard his first cry and were pleased to find out he is a very healthy boy. I'm a pretty easy going guy and a lot of things don't really affect me emotionally, but I'm not going to lie, I teared up a bit when I heard that sound.
We were hoping for a birth on 09/10/11, because it's just a cool birth date, but obviously can't force anything to happen. The official time was 3:24pm on 09/11/11.
We had a bunch of family and friends visiting once we got to our room in the recovery floor and now Michelle and I are wiped out. Her more than me obviously, with such a traumatic 24 hours, but we cannot be happier. It's such an amazing feeling that it can't really be described. It's one of those "you have to be there" situations.
BTW, I saw tbars4 drive by on PCH while gazing out our ocean view room during her 22 hours of waiting.
This photo is just funny. It's also the first photo I took, so I had to post it.

I understand that "Smack" of reality when you hear that first cry, lay your eyes upon, of hold a newborn for the first time. Soooo many things happen at those moments to yourself. Pure joy of witnessing pure innocence comes to mind.
Here's to wishing Momma a speedy recovery, she took a double dose with this delivery.
...Congrats Froader and Michelle...:biggthump
...I still don't know how you spotted me with all you had going on at the time and it was all I can do to keep from posting up here, "Colins having the baby"...
...On to your pics...
...The first pic is just classic...The second pic is most definitely a little mini Froader with a beenie..and the last pic...well...that's just Gangsta..
Congrats! Enjoy any second of sleep you can get. I imagine they will be few and far between now.
