I was in Lowes at lunch and came across trailer tires. They had 15" wheels with 205x75x15 C rated tires. In a jam it's nice to know I could look for a Lowes to throw a spare on.;)

These were about $111, which is a average price.

Some of the Lowes sell trailers. I was considering buying one from the Rocklin CA store, but I'm gonna keep looking for a used one on Craigslist.

Most of the Home Centers around here have trailers and tires for sale, I thought it was normal

Funny you mention this. I just bought a trailer tire from Lowes on Saturday... Only thing is it's for my little garden tractor's trailer:D

In my area (Sacramento CA) some of the Home Depot and Lowes sell utility trailers and some don't. The Lowes closest to me (Citrus Heights) does not have any, but the store in Rocklin had a 5 x 8 metal sided trailer that was pretty nice. I almost bought it because it is exactly what I want, but it was $1050. I was hoping to find one on CL for < $500.

The Harbor Freight trailers have those tiny 12" tires on them, and they aren't very well made IMO, but they are really cheap. I want a 4 x 8 or 5 x 8 trailer with 15" wheels and relatively high sides for hauling trash and getting lumber, etc.

We don't have a Northern Tool store around here, so I would have to pay shipping from them. There are several trailer dealers around our area, so I believe it would be better to get one from a local dealer if I buy new.

I'm now unemployed, so I won't be buying one until I get another job anyway.

The point was, we have had people with blow out on the way to events, and spares can hard to come by. This was a easy temporary solution in a jam;)

I would have never thought that you could get trailer tires other than what rick bought.

It would work well in a jam but dang $111? Come on lol

In a jam maybe, but then I would also go to walmart and ask them to put whatever they had on the wheel for less money. there are more walmarts out there than lowes.

Have you bought new tires of any kind in the last few weeks? If not, be sure to take your heart meds before price checking. :p:

The prices are outrageous!! But the selection and sizes have improved dramatically  Rims cost less now than tires.
