The driver side door lock button on my 2010 Sport Trac would no longer unlock the doors. Still locks though. Replaced with new switch but problem remains. Likely a broken wire. Anyone have any advice on how to proceed to remedy?

Passenger still works? Does it unlock all the locks? New or used switch? If its only the driver switch, blue green out of the switch is the unlock for driver side switch. It should go directly to the driver door actuator odds are your brake is somewhere on that wire.

Passenger side works fine both lock and unlock. Keypad on door also works fine as does key fob. Bought new switch from dealer. Suspecting broken wire but don't know how diagnose with taped harness.

Un-tape the harness starting at one end or the other. You only have a short run from the switch module to the lock mechanism. with your VOM start with a continuity check end to end.

Ok that makes sense, thanks
