- 1989 Ford Bronco II
I recently purchased an 89 bronco II with a 2.9l. I took it to get inspected and it passed everything except the low idle test. This test showed high hydrocarbons at idle. Ran cleaners through fuel sys, changed plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap. It seemed to run smoother afterwards. Took it back a week later and failed emissions again. This time high speed test had extremely low hydrocarbons (better than the first test), and low speed had even higher hydrocarbons (worse than first test). Does anyone have a possible solution to this problem?
