Hello everyone. I am having an issue with my 2001 b2500. When I first crank it up. The engine revs around 4000 rpm for about 10 sec. Afterwards it will usually reside to about 1700 rpms. As soon as I tap the accelerator it goes 4000 rpm again. While driving down the road, the high rpm is still there. Feels like the truck is trying to run away. If I clutch while driving the rpm shoot up to 4000 then back down. I have changed the tps, Iac, checked for vaccum leaks. I just put a new alternator in as well. The voltage regulator on the old one was over charging my electrical system. Really don't know where to go from here.
