Ford kuga

from what i have seen of the new X, it has alot in common with what i have seen with the ford kuga in europe http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/Kuga

Since ford is considdering making as much of their cars global as they can, i would be surprised f this is wat they are during

Interesting read on the Kuga. Available over there in gas or diesel. The gas one gets @27 mpg while the diesel gets @47 mpg. That is a big difference, and AWD at that. That is what we need in the U.S.

Looks interesting, but too much like a Honda CRV, basically a hatchback AWD car.

Isn't the next generation Escape going to be a U.S. Kuga?

I have an idea: Take the Transit Connect, lift it, put in the 2.5L engine and the 4WD drivetrain from the Escape. It would make a nice camping/utility rig.

I'll bet it doesn't come available with a diesel. An escape with 45mpg would be sweet.
