real clean nice v8 swap

nice looking ranger u got there

Thats a real nice truck man!!! Well Done!!! Was the v8 swap pretty hard or was it somewhat manageable for the Do it your-selfer? Just wondering!
Again Awesome truck!:salute:

You should be able to bolt a 5.0 Explorer engine into any 2nd gen Explorer of the same or similar year. Best to work from a complete donor to get all the large and small bits and pieces.

For a Ranger, the best years to convert are 98~2000 because they are mechanically and electrically very similar to a 99~2001 Explorer.

2001~2003 Rangers add a few electrical complications involving PATS, speedometer and tach. 2004+ Rangers were rewired front to back and would likely be more difficult.

Thanks!
And again Great job!

Sweet ranger!

Really sweet truck!! I saw your pictures from Centralia... I am definitely going to head out there sometime soon! I would love to put a 5.0 in my Sport... ;)

Very nicely done, You've definately got the time and effort into ita project like that deserves. Also glad to see 5.0 in a newer Ranger. Thanks for the post!

wow very well done

not just a 5.0L its BOOSTED

Truck is so so sick nice work

Work on that thing is awesome!! What did you have to do to put that limited steering wheel in it??

Again, very clean installs on all of the different items. I wish my engine compartment was that clean! Its a little stained from the mud! Beautiful truck, and I love the attention to detail!

The wheel just needs a matching air bag, clockspring assembly and wiring mods for the conversion. The right side buttons are set up to operate the Explorer EATC climate control and Explorer HU which have been swapped into my Ranger. The left side operates the factory Ranger speed control.

Amazing work! Love the truck.

What can you tell us about the supercharger? What brand? Boost? HP and TQ numbers? What supporting mods did the motor require?

I'd love to get a sc on my BII.
