New to the forum and have a question for those of you running a doubler. Mine is a 1354/1354 doubler, both manual. What are the do's and don't's for daily driving and on the trail. I'm finishing my twin sticks and crossmembers before I slap it in. Thanks.

The rule hear is NEVER put the doubler in low range before putting the transfer in low range.

You are brave Matt.

You would do it to get a 2x low when the hubs are locked in. But you shouldn't. The gear reduction before the shaft with out the reduction after leads to some serious strain on it. Duffy told me when I built mine years ago that he would warranty everything but that. He said never do it or you will snap the intermediate shaft, though I did do it a couple times in a pinch and went really easy on it and was ok.
