This is Ford's own EMC site. What's EMC? Its ElectroMagnetic Compatibility, formerly called Electomagnetic Interference (EMI) or Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).

If you are into engineering, you can download Ford's EMC test spec that they use to assure that keying a two-way radio or driving past an airport radar won't make your vehicle go bonkers  .

Of greater interest is the Mobile Radio Installation Guidelines that you can download. If you are an experienced 2-way radio installer, there's nothing new here, but if you are new at this game, there are a lot of hepful hints, like how to do the power wiring or where to install on-glass antennas. Its worthwhile reading!

actually, it's not a "formerly called" thing.... they're interrelated subjects...not quite different names for the same thing.... EMC is the field that deals with RFI and EMI (I'm an EMC engineer, and we test for EMI and RFI) EMI also covers interferance from signals NOT consdered radio frequencies (audio frequencies as low as 30 Hz)....

i'm done nitpicking...time to go to work. :)
