JR 91 Sport
My 91 sport has an intermittent starting problem. It seems to advance the timing to the point that it stalls the starter. I have even heard it backfire out the intake manifold during an especially bad fit. It does not seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold for this to occur. The easiest way to alleviate this problem I've found is to hold down on the accelerator a little and then start it. This seems to bring the timing back to where it should be. Has anyone had this problem or have an idea what is causing it. I have put around 15K on the truck and the problem hasn't gotten better or worse.
