headlight bulb removal

I purchased silverstars this evening thinking that install would be a snap, after lifting the hood I found that it was a bit more involved, not hard, but involved. Does anyone have any tips on headlight bulb removal? Looks like I will have to remove th battery, and air intake...or at least move it around. Thanks for any tips

you should have two latches on the head light. It took me 5 min. just to install mine on a 2002 X. dont think its a difference. P.S. the latches you can pretty much use your had to pull them up and its a simple from there.

I must have done it the hard way, I removed the battery, the air filter housing, and got to them from behind. I will look to see if I can do it more simpler next time, hopefully there wont be a next time soon.

Yea...there are 2 latches on each side that you pull up on. Mine are sometimes very picky about releasing from the housing, so I take a piece of string (like a shoelace) and use that to pull up on the latches.
