HELP!! 86 ranger signal wire from distributor coil is not connected to the ecu

Hello. New to the form.

I have an 86 ranger 2.9l fuel injected and the kid I got it from re did all the wiring to the ecu and I chaced my signal wire and it wasn't even connected just hiddin. I have a rough idle and cant figure it out. Did compression test. Checked power to everthing. Only thing I havent done. yet is check fuel pressure. But since I found my signal wire is not connected ik somthing is up. any help would be awesome

1986 ranger 2.9l. Signal wire is not connected to anything. The kid I got it from re did the wiring so I need to know what number or color its supposed to be connected too. Thanks
