Congrats there colin on finding some tires at a good price;)

get his bumper too!

nice

glad to hear you'll be back on the dirt again soon

Well, change of plans...

I just ordered 5 - 36x12.5x15 TSL SXs from 4wheelparts. They have 10% off and free shipping site wide right now.

I was going to get 38s, but I'm just not ready for those yet. I don't have the money to make the modifications I would need to make them work on top of the price of tires.

Sweet! Why not the SSRs from Dannyboy?

Nevermind, i thought his were 35s.

regearing is expensive. Good choice though!

His were 37s and they would have worked good, but I decided to get new ones. I came into a sweet deal on freebie tires I'm going to sell.

One of the reasons I decided 36s instead of 38s. I'm not sure if I want to re-gear or just get a doubler later. Eventually I'll have half a body and 40s on this pig, but It's not happening for a while. With the amount I drive this thing, these tires should last me a long time.

Yeah until punk kids walk down your street again:rolleyes:

Ok this has always got me but what is the differance between the TSL and the TSL/SX

True. It's staying in the driveway now I think. Hopefully the van is less likely to get tires slashed. :dunno:

Check the sidewall.

TSL:

The classic and always reliable Super Swamper TSL provides the off road traction and durability that you've come to depend on from Super Swampers. This bias ply mud tire offers unbeatable performance on rocks, mud, and trail, especially in low-pressure crawling. The patented Three Stage Lug design will chew through mud and mold to rocks, yielding the first-class performance that people have come to expect from Super Swampers for decades. If there are three certainties in life, it's death, taxes, and the off road capabilities of Super Swamper Tires.

TSL SX:

Even more so than other Super Swampers, these mud and rock specialists are designed with the most extreme off road conditions in mind. Sidewall lugs dramatically improve traction for those low-pressure crawls, and the patented Three Stage Lug design ensures that these tires will catch in mud, snow, ice, sand, and pretty every possible adverse condition. Strong nylon or polyester bias ply bodies and dual belts under the tread give extra durability and lessen tread wear. These tires are how Super Swampers earn their name and then some.

The lugs on the side of the SXs, when aired down, does help grip when the tire is turned to one side and trying to climb.

Colin, with those new tires vs. those balding X-terrains, you will be un-freakin-stoppable.
