Welcome to this forum! I've moved your post into its own thread with a new title. You need a box wrench or a ratchet set to remove the bolt. Are you replacing the plastic fan blades or the fan clutch?

There are two ways to remove a fan clutch from your Aerostar water pump shaft. Either purchase a correct wrench for year & size you need, to do it correctly, or choose some alternative method that most likely will make you wish you bought a wrench in the first place.
Most Auto Parts Suppliers sell a Fan Clutch Hub Removal "tool", a slim, but durable open end wrench type affair which fits & works well if you get the correct size. I know there are different sizes and I know once I got the correct one for my 4.0L the job became a Breeze. After that nothing broke, I did not skin my knuckles, I did not "round off" the flats on the hex nut or anything any more.

WIth a tool you simply place it squarely on hex nut, lock or prevent your serpentine belt from rolling, then break the nut loose unthread it and remove your fan. Remember to support your fan & clutch so as to avoid damaging your radiator while removing the fan clutch assy.

You also can use the tool to retighten nut on reassembly. Hope this helps.

That's definitely the tool set that does the job the best & only way. . . . IMHO.
