How many explorers have you had?

Ive had 6 so far,still own two of them-A 1998 2wd with pushrod 4.0 with 256k miles daily driver and Ive also got a 2000 4.0l sohc 2wd that im about to build up.

First Explorer, but i've had other Fords.

1994 Ford Probe GT (loved it, first car, got it for my 16th birthday brand new)
2000 Ford Mustang (traded the Probe on it with 140,000 miles)
1993 Ford Probe GT (project I got. Paid $350, changed plugs, wires, and detailed. Sold it for $4200)
1993 Probe GT (bought it because it looked "sad" sitting in the back lot of a buy here pay here lot. Sold.)
1997 Probe GTS with 37,000 original miles, looked like it had been the home to some farm animals. Nastiest, dirtiest car I've ever seen. Did an oil change, and it came out like sludge. Original oil filter... In 2011. It was in a sad state.)

Grew up a FORD gal

Dad worked for Ford so it's all I've driven. I've had 2 Ford Explorers and 1 Mountaineer in the past 15 years. My 2002 Explorer Sport is my current ride and it's 9 years old. The reason I found this site was because of googling my squeeky underside problem with the explorer. I have a few issues that have come up lately, AC, rattly window and the squeek. I'll fix them and keep my baby on the road a few more years.

Only one. It's shooting for being the best vehicle I've ever owned. It has a way to go though, I owned a 89' Jeep Cherokee that had over 480K before my daughter's stepson totaled it. Except for fuel injectors being replaced and regular maintenance she was flawless. The Explorer has only had a/c work and a fuel pump replaced in over 240K. And it looks like she'll last for another 200K.

One Mounty 02 which is my dd right now. But i also had a 94 b2200 man tranny. std cab, 2wd. That thing was a blast. Peppy little sucker. Funny story though when i purchased my first home I had some landscaping to do. I was up for it but the ranger wasn't I loaded what i remember to be a yard of loam in the bed. Going down the main road the truck was creaking like a cheap motel bed. Well a couple miles down i hear some banging and my bed and loam is on the main road. It was then I realized why the pros use Super Duty.

Had 5 so far, though I only drove 4 of those!

The four pictured are two present and two past. I don't have pictures of the second Explorer I ever had, which was meant to be used for parts. Like the black 91 pictured, both found new life with another owner who had bigger and better plans for them..

Also attached an updated picture of the two I currently have; ditched the running boards on the 4 door, and the 2 door has since gained a Limited bumper, clear markers, and 16" Sport Trac wheels.

Started with a 93 sport auto, then I was hooked. since then....
-94 XLT 5 Speed (Lifted SAS with 40" tires)
-93 XLT auto, Sold then had to Repo it for non payment and used it for Parts
-94 XLT 5 Speed (Drove until I needed parts for the mud truck)
-95 XLT Auto, Parted out
-92 2wd 2 door XL, manual everything with a 5 speed! LOVED THIS TRUCK but lost it in an unfortunate towing accident. (while unloading my car trailer on a hill the truck on it popped out of gear and landed on the roof of my Ex)
-98 Sport 4.0L SOHC (Fell in love with the SOHC motor at this point) Lost tranny and parted out
-99 XLS Auto, Sold
-99 Sport SOHC, used it as a motor donor vehicle for my 98 Ranger Mud drag truck. (The Ranger FLEW with the SOHC and 5 speed combo and had NO issues spinning 2 locked axles with 38.5" Boggers!!!)
-91 XLT 4x4 (Parts Truck)
-96 Limited V8 (Powertrain donar vehicle) parted out
-94 4 door XLT 4x4 Plow truck with a chop top, I used this truck commercially to plow 23 Driveways and 3 Business' with NO issues. It was better on fuel than my F350 and was quicker and easier to plow with due to it's size
-2001 Explorer XLT SOHC, customer traded it in to cover his off road recover tow bill after having me pull it out of 4 feet of mud and water. Hahaha. He asked me for an estimate on fixing it and it was too far gone to be worth swapping in a tranny. Stripped for parts
-97 Explorer Sport HEAVILY MODIFIED MUD DRAG TRUCK, **current race truck** sitting on a full size Bronco Chassis with a 350hp Fuel injected small block plus a 150hp NOS shot, 15" of total lift sitting on 38.5" Boggers or 44" Boggers depending on race class and track. (more details in my Sig)

I only have owned one Explorer which is my current ride. 2006' Blue XLT. I am very disappointed in the current models. No 8 and very expensive. I think I will hold on to my 06' However, the Edge is promising although smaller.

had a 95 XLT with 150k miles on it, needed more work than the car was worth, so traded it in when we bought our 2006 XLS that has 78k on it now
