I am in the process of upgrading my radio head unit to an aftermarket one. While doing it, I messed up my OEM Nav radio that had the Coastal back up camera mod, so I was left without that function. I was able to pick up a new Nav unit from a junk yard for $ 75 (yes, you can upgrade your radio for around 100 bucks to use the OEM GPS unit) but it obviously does not have the camera function in it. Since I tow and plow frequently, the back up camera is a pretty useful feature for me.
So on emergency basis, I needed to do something so eBay is your friend
New back up camera $ 25 and a cheap rear view mirror $ 28 later and I have something in the meantime.
Pros:
cheap, for $ 53 you can't beat that, picture quality much better than what I had on my OEM Nav unit with Coastal mod.
Cons:
The mirror function of that thing is not the greatest during the day. At night, it's just perfect since it's dimmed and darkish, but during the day, it's just OK.
It takes about 1-2 seconds for the picture to come up, so a small delay.
Otherwise, see pictures.
