yup MK41 VLS. Had to inspect one up in Lockheed Martin in Baltimore.. Was shipped from Florida and the dumb ass moron truck driver decided to un-tarp it before he was allowed inside the warehouse and it started to rain..

Just for the record... The US gov pays $5 Million for a new one of these.. Wish they had one with some cruise missles that I could have test fired :D

It looks pretty sweet. Just how big is it in fact? Looks like each one would take up the better portion of a full size flat bed.

Umm its atleast 12' in width & height and probably like 30 feet or so tall. They had a overhead crane to raise it from the flat bed trailer and skis.

      That's pretty impressive.

Honestly, I internet stalked it. Saw Lockheed on it, new you were in MD and went looking. At first i thought it was a boom of some sort, but that wasn't right once I saw the control panel. If you had said Army, not Navy, I would have thought it was an expandable/portable bridge. But after a few minutes of research I found it. It's really damn sweet. Very jealous that you get to be up close and personal with this.
The best thing I can offer up are cell towers, as that's what I run the title on daily. Not nearly as cool as a missle launcher.
      Sending the PM now.
      Thanks!

I can tell you that the red lights on towards the bottom are p/n 757 and costs me about $5 for a 25 pack and the lights for the push buttons at the top are 387s and are about $3 for 50.

Haven't ever worked on one, but have been inside of them and loaded them.

I just might give my left arm to be around one of these as it is firing. I'm sure that's an awesome sight.
