You hooked the red to red and black to black then check the inlins fuse on the battery cable itself. You may have caused an arc while changing it out.more than likely it's your problem unless you just purchased a dead battery to change your dead battery. If that is the problem a simple multi tester will tell you if it has juice in it. If the in line fuse is good go further down the line on each cable to make sure you are connected along the way with the main cables. if still nothing look in your owners manual for a fuse box diagram and check your main fuses. Doubt it will get that far though. Hope it helps.
