Rear drivers side door wont open

      2001 sport trac 150k rear drivers side door wont open inside and out. If I move the power lock switch back and forth I hear a clunk and it will open any ideas are appreciated

      It sounds like it might be that your lock actuator has broken the rivet that holds in place on the inner door shell. That would explain the "clunk" you're hearing.

      Got the door open found out its the door latch assembly, broken spring does anyone have a part number or know where I can get one without going to the dealer and paying 110.00

      Broken spring inside the rear latch or door handle? No OE latch spring available. This fix is for the front latch, and should work for the rear. Trick is getting the correct spring tension and putting upward pressure on the latch rod with the yellow clip.

      door latch problem solved - temporarily maybe??

      Ended up getting it for 80.00 and picked it up today thanks for all the help
