I'm trying to get the trim piece for the overhead console out so I can paint it, that includes the garage door door caseing, it's the black part. How do I get this out? Thanks

You will have to remove the console from its current mounted position and disassemble it to separate the parts.

To do this...open up the garage opener compartment, take out the 2 screws you will see there, then pull down on the console until the holding clips pop loose and the console drops down, then unplug the wiring connector, remove it and take it to your work area, then look for the screws that hold the different parts and trim pieces together, you will find that you will have to remove several screws and maybe the hinge mechanism to seperate the trim piece from the rest of the console!

blah way to much work for today. LOL maybe another day for now i'll just paint the centerconsole and radio dash trim
